With this latest set of reports submitted by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) to the justice system, faces are put to the corruption allegations regularly denounced in public opinion. The accusations leveled in these reports against former parliamentarians, former high-ranking public officials, or even ordinary citizens are serious and deserve clarification—not in the media or on social networks, but in front of the appropriate authorities.
The ULCC reports confirm the widespread criticism of the country regarding corruption. They explain and demonstrate why our governments are so ineffective when it comes to providing the country with road infrastructure, cleaning up our streets, running public hospitals and schools. These reports, like previous ones from the ULCC and the PetroCaribe Fund report, affirm the disastrous management of public funds. They openly state what everyone whispers.
