Thadal Etienne (T.E.): The exact title of the book is: "The Tragedy of the Commons in Haiti: Incentives for Efficient Governance." This book originates from my doctoral thesis, which I presented with the distinction of "Excellent" at Laval University in Canada a little over two years ago, in 2022. One of the defense committee's recommendations was to publish it as a book to better disseminate the ideas and proposals developed within it. Although the core ideas remain the same, there are differences between a book and a thesis; consequently, I had to "de-thesify" the thesis, to use an editorial term, to produce this work, which will be published at "Livres en Folie 2024" by the State University of Haiti Press.

The book spans more than 400 pages, divided into 8 chapters grouped into 3 sections. These sections respectively present the risk of tragedy facing the commons in Haiti (first section), the causes and consequences of this tragedy (second section), and proposals for better governance of the commons (third section) to reverse the trend toward tragedy.
