On March 15, 2025, the Haitian National Police (PNH) apprehended two brothers, Jeff Pierre and Jacques Jerry Pierre, at Cap-Haïtien International Airport. According to a statement published on the PNH’s official Facebook page, the two men are "the sons of Pierre Macadieu Nabon, alias 'Ti Nana,' who is actively wanted by the police following the seizure of a shipping container by Dominican authorities." This container, owned by Ti Nana, was found to contain firearms, prompting an ongoing investigation.

During this operation, the PNH also arrested two other suspects, Mackenson Pierre and Francesca Charles, for their alleged involvement in firearms trafficking. These arrests come 11 days after Dominican customs officials seized an arms shipment on March 4, 2025. The shipment included: 23 firearms, including assault rifles;  36,000 rounds of ammunition; Magazines, including a .50 caliber magazine.  The intercepted shipment, which was en route to Haiti, allowed authorities to trace a network of arms and ammunition traffickers operating on both sides of the Haiti-Dominican Republic border, particularly in Elías Piña and Belladère in the Central Plateau.
