Louivens Montina, 17 years old, was presented to the press by the Léogâne police station on Thursday, March 27, 2025, as a member of a gang operating in the "Aux Pâques" communal section of the City of Anacaona. He was arrested on Tuesday, March 25, for the murder of his father, Louis Montina, committed on January 6.

Accompanied by 25 armed gang members, Louivens Montina personally shot and killed his father, as he confessed to the police. Afterward, his accomplices beheaded the victim, then burned the house with the lifeless body inside, according to Louivens Montina’s confession to the Haitian National Police (PNH)—a confession he reiterated in the presence of journalists. The alleged gang member had been tracked down by the police while hiding at his aunt’s home, where he had taken refuge to escape the armed group that, according to him, had turned against him.
