Insecurity is spreading, and armed gangs are advancing in Pacot. As was the case for institutions in downtown Port-au-Prince, those located in Turgeau and Canapé-Vert are anticipating relocation before it’s too late. In this context, Konbit San Pou San, a leading organization in mobilizing voluntary blood donations, has taken the first step by writing to the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Bertrand Sinal, and to the Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), Dr. Ernst Noel, to request the relocation and decentralization of blood transfusion services.
In the opening lines of its letter, Konbit San Pou San (KSPS) recalls its status as a "community organization committed to equitable access to blood in Haiti" before presenting its argument.
