Three days after an interview granted by Fritz Jean to a panel of journalists during which the CPT Coordinator denounced a dysfunctional situation within the government, tensions among CPT members have further escalated.

Although during his interview Mr. Jean stated that “the Council of Ministers should not be a source of instability,” and that it is “supposed to be a space for decision-making about the country's future,” a CPT member told Le Nouvelliste that the Coordinator of the Presidential Council had attempted to hold a Council of Ministers meeting without the presence of a majority of five presidential advisors.
