President Luis Abinader is waging a campaign against the illegal entry of Haitians into his country: he has increased raids and deportations, suspended the issuance of visas, and reinforced the military presence along the border between the two countries, where a wall has been built.
The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) “is maintaining an average of more than 30,000 removals per month,” it stated in a press release.
