The group in charge of coordinating the roadmap “for stability and peace in Haiti” is composed of members of the OAS, the UN, and CARICOM. “Today I have a meeting with Prime Minister Fils-Aimé to determine who will represent Haiti within this coordination group, because Haiti must be part of all this,” OAS Secretary General Albert Ramdin told Le Nouvelliste in an exclusive interview at OAS headquarters in Washington, early Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025.
“I know,” acknowledged Albert Ramdin, when asked about the shortcomings of a nearly identical structure, the CIRH, created by the international community after the January 12, 2010, earthquake. “It will be a challenge, but we are optimistic. We are not going to give up,” continued Ramdin. “I don’t see things that way,” he added, arguing that it is not necessarily a bad thing for a patient to be treated by several doctors.
