According to Bertide Horace, spokesperson for the Dialogue and Awareness Commission, this situation is part of a deliberate strategy to destroy the department. Speaking on the program Panel Magik on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Ms. Horace denounced what she described as a “state conspiracy” aimed at forcing residents to flee their land.
