One may reproach the Presidential Council and the government for having failed over the past twenty months to restore security in the country and to organize elections—their two main missions—but no one can fault them for not having made appointments or adopted decrees and executive orders. Less than two months before the end of the CPT’s mandate, it proceeded with the appointment of four new ambassadors.
While CPT members have still not managed to agree on the separation of several ministerial posts and general directorates they have coveted for months, they nevertheless reached consensus on appointing citizen Jean Josué PIERRE as ambassador and Permanent Representative of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS).
