On Tuesday, December 30, the Haitian National Police (PNH) carried out an operation in downtown Port-au-Prince, notably targeting the areas of Fort Saint-Clair and Bel-Air, known to be strongholds of armed groups. Law enforcement used explosive drones in these criminal bastions. Several PNH armored vehicles were deployed during the operation. Heavy machinery was also used to destroy certain bandit hideouts, witnesses reported. The PNH has not yet communicated about this operation, just as it remained silent about a similar operation conducted during the night of December 17 to 18, 2025, in Torcel and Pernier.

At the same time, acts of kidnapping have resumed after a lull observed in early December. Over the past weekend, several ransom kidnappings were reported in Delmas, Bourdon, and downtown Port-au-Prince.
