The Minister of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), Patrick Pélissier, paid a solidarity visit to Collège Canapé-Vert on Monday, February 2, 2026, where he met for more than ten minutes with the institution’s founder-director, Franck Paul.

Asked about the purpose of the visit, the head of the MJSP stated that “Collège Canapé-Vert is more than a school; it is a social symbol, an educational heritage that has educated several generations of men and women in our country,” describing the threat of eviction facing the institution as an “attack on social values, education, and the right to private property.”
