After qualifying for the U17 World Cup, the players of the Haitian national team returned to the capital on Thursday, February 12, 2026. They received a warm welcome upon their arrival. After three previous appearances in this category’s World Cup, the objective for this new generation is now to secure a first victory in the global competition.

Back in Haiti after achieving three victories in Guatemala during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Haitian national team players returned with a sense of mission accomplished. Several personalities were present to welcome them, including Yvon Sévère and Gally Amazan representing the normalization committee, team manager Peterson Iscente Desormeau, as well as other members of the Haitian Football Federation.
