The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has made a major impact by revealing the contamination of water consumed daily in Haiti. This announcement, although late, has the merit of being based on a study conducted by experts in the metropolitan area. It therefore goes beyond the stage of suspicious announcements aimed at aligning a given ministry with donor funding agendas or securing small amounts of money during the implementation of minor projects. It also has the merit of addressing this issue from a scientific and structural perspective.
Then comes a fundamental question beyond simple observation: what should be done?
