The Federation of Friends of Nature (FAN), in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment (MdE), marked in grand fashion the 40th anniversary of this institution committed to the fight for environmental protection, during an event held on Monday, March 23, 2026—a date that coincides with the celebration of the National Day of Haitian Environmentalists.

The celebration, organized in the gardens of La Réserve in Pétion-Ville, brought together, in an atmosphere of fraternity and conviviality, members of the organization—including some pioneers—figures engaged in environmental protection, as well as high-level political authorities, including former Ministers of the Environment Joseph Ronald Toussaint and Jean Vilmond Hilaire, along with the current minister, Valéry Fils-Aimé.
