The Kenyan forces engaged in the MSS, now transformed into the Gang Suppression Force (GSF), have already begun their withdrawal from the country, making way for soldiers and police officers of the new force. At least two contingents have already left the country. In addition to these are other contingents such as those from Jamaica and the Bahamas, among others. The GSF is expected to begin deployment in early April.

Meanwhile, concerns remain about the vacuum that could be created by the departure of these contingents, particularly those from Kenya on the ground. The Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), Vladimir Paraison, expressed his concerns this Thursday during the 6th conference of the Sectoral Security Table (TSS), an event organized by the Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (CARDH).
