The Community of Haitian Architects and Engineers (CAIH) held its launch ceremony on Saturday, March 28, 2026, during an event organized at the Université Saint-François d’Assise, in the presence of around one hundred guests, mostly civil engineers and architects, along with other construction professionals and students.
The new structure was “born out of the desire of several professionals in architecture and engineering to create a space for collaboration, exchange, and reflection on the challenges related to the development of the construction and engineering sector in Haiti,” explained Pierre Waron Christopher, administrator of the CAIH. The community’s vision is therefore to “contribute to the development of sustainable, safe infrastructures adapted to the country’s realities.”
