The convention center of the NH El Rancho hosted, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, a vibrant and symbolic dance performance organized by the Institut de danse Lynn Williams Rouzier (IDDLWR). The event aimed to mark the 60th anniversary of this dance school, founded in 1966, and which has since become a reference in the field. It was before an audience of several hundred people that the institute celebrated its jubilee. Former and current high-ranking state officials, leading figures of civil society, as well as former and current students of the institution all filled the venue for the celebration.
“Pulse 60 Legacy in Motion” was the theme of this afternoon event dedicated to six decades of heritage, passion, and dance. In front of a hall that had almost become too small for the occasion, this was clearly no ordinary event. At the opening curtain, there was no master of ceremony. Only two figures appeared, slowly walking toward the center of the stage under the audience’s applause: Lynn Williams Rouzier and her daughter Marynn W. Rouzier, respectively founding director and assistant director of the IDDLWR.
