One week after the heavy rains that caused significant flooding in the Christophian city, the situation remains concerning. In this context, protest movements have erupted in several neighborhoods, revealing persistent environmental degradation and increasing pressure on public authorities.
Faced with the scale of the damage and public discontent, the government dispatched, on April 29, an interministerial delegation to the country’s second-largest city. This delegation includes, in particular, the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC), engineer Joseph Almathe Pierre-Louis, the Minister of the Environment, Valéry Fils-Aimé, as well as the Director General of the National Solid Waste Management Service (SNGRS), Daril Balthazar, alongside local authorities.
