Born on August 24, 2001, in Thomazeau, Wilguens Paugain is part of the new generation of players gradually strengthening the depth of the Haitian national team. A right-back by trade, the Haitian international currently plays for SV Zulte Waregem after a career marked by several experiences across Europe.

Having moved to France at a young age, Paugain began his development with AS Nomexy Vincey before joining SAS Épinal. His athletic qualities and potential subsequently earned him a place in the youth academy of AS Nancy-Lorraine, where he continued his development and notably played for the club’s reserve team. His progress also led to appearances with France’s youth national teams, particularly at the U18 level.
