After several working sessions involving members of the government, members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), and representatives of certain political parties, the Ministry of Communication announced in a statement that the three parties had reached agreement on a text aimed at amending the electoral decree published on June 2, 2026. However, other political organizations have denounced their exclusion from the discussions.

While last week the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announced the creation of a bipartisan commission (Prime Minister's Office–CEP) to work on amendments to the electoral decree, which has been the source of significant tension between the government and the electoral body, the Ministry of Communication announced on Monday that three parties—the government, the CEP, and political parties—had agreed on a text designed to amend the electoral decree.
