Haiti’s U20 national team was eliminated from the race for the 2027 World Cup on August 4, 2026. Against Costa Rica, the Haitians lost 5-3 on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The defeat not only ended Haiti’s dream of reaching the 2027 World Cup, but also its hopes of qualifying for the 2027 Pan American Games and the 2028 Olympic Games.

Despite Haiti’s elimination, several talents stood out. This Haitian team, composed of players under the age of 20, is built around the core of the Haiti U17 team that competed in the 2025 U17 World Cup in Qatar. The rise can continue for these players: from Haiti U20 to the senior team.
