The second edition of the national first division championship, D1 Paryaj Lakay, will open on November 8, 2026. The Haitian Football League (LHF) announced this on Sunday, October 11, following an extraordinary meeting during which the launch date for the competition was officially confirmed.

Twelve clubs are announced for this new season, with Violette AC, the reigning champion, leading the list. Vieux Tigre will notably face FICA, Tempête FC, Racing FC, América des Cayes, FC Juventus, Don Bosco FC of Pétion-Ville, Racing Club Haïtien, Ouanaminthe FC, Association sportive capoise (ASC), Real Hope FA, and Cavaly AS.

This list is also marked by several absences. Baltimore SC, the finalist of the previous edition, is not among the selected teams, nor are Triomphe AC and AS Mirebalais. Arcahaie FC is also absent, despite expectations for the club's return to the national scene after five years away from competition.

While awaiting the publication of the official schedule, announced for the coming days, the LHF has opened the accreditation process for media professionals for the 2026-2027 season. Journalists from print, broadcast, television, and online media, as well as photographers, cameramen, and press technicians, are invited to submit their applications by October 30.
The form is accessible online at the following address: https://forms.gle/zjgRqAjkkiqSyGdb9. The League specifies that official accreditation will be mandatory to cover matches and events related to this new season.
