In Miami this week, two electoral advisors discussed this with Haitian personalities and organizations.

Sanon Nemrod and Adely Shaida, respectively Secretary and Treasurer of the Provisional Electoral Council, carried out an exploratory mission in the United States this week aimed at guaranteeing the vote for Haitians living abroad.

"This approach aimed at the participation of Haitians living abroad in the next elections is well received by the Haitian community in Miami," electoral advisor Sanon Nemrod reported to the Nouvelliste.

"We met and discussed with several personalities and organizations, participated in discussion forums," he said, emphasizing that the information collected will be used to establish mechanisms to allow the participation of Haitians living abroad in the upcoming elections.

The CEP delegation participated in a forum organized by the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and the Haitian consulate, and met with the team of Pastor Grégory Toussaint, Father Réginald Jean-Mary, among others.

The participation of our compatriots living abroad in the upcoming elections is guaranteed by the electoral decree and the National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections. In order to comply with this legal requirement, the CEP has already conducted several other missions in Canada, Chile, and Brazil.
