Since Sunday, October 18, 2026, four Salvadoran soldiers have been missing. Their vehicle was found burned.

Since then, there has been no news of their fate. Numerous operations, both on the ground and by helicopter, carried out without interruption since Sunday afternoon by security forces, have failed to locate them.
