Three unidentified helicopters killed three people in Granfon, the fourth communal section of Saint-Marc, on the evening of Saturday, October 17, 2026.

"The victims, Lavoir Louis, 60 years old, Wilson Louis, 40 years old, and Garçonet Jean, 51 years old, (father, son, and nephew) were hit by multiple projectiles while they were at home in Lexandre, a small locality in Granfond," said Wilbert Michel, president of the communal section’s Board of Directors, emphasizing that "the locality is known to be peaceful."
