Phénil Gordon Désir, wanted since July 2021 by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) for his alleged involvement in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, was arrested on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Pétion-Ville.<\/p>

“Phénil Gordon Désir was wanted for his alleged involvement in the preparation and logistical support of the plot that led to the death of the head of state. He will be sent to the United States,” a government source told Le Nouvelliste early in the evening. “Other individuals will be apprehended very soon,” our source promised.<\/p>
