The Executive Director of UNICEF, Catherine Russell, highlighted the violence and severe malnutrition affecting children in her appeal to the international community not to forget Haiti, in an interview with Le Nouvelliste on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

"One of the reasons for my presence here is to draw attention, to show that we can do good work in Haiti, and that Haitians desperately need help. The international community cannot forget it," she stated in response to questions from the newspaper's editor-in-chief, Frantz Duval.
