A Kenyan delegation has been in Haiti since Sunday, August 20, 2023. The officials in the delegation are collecting on-the-ground information following Kenya's expression of willingness to take the leadership role in a multinational force aimed at restoring peace in Haiti. On Tuesday, August 22, the delegation will have several meetings with the senior command of the Haitian National Police, and workshops will be conducted throughout the day.

On the previous day, the delegation met with the Haitian Government, the High Transition Council, the High General Staff of the National Police, and the diplomatic corps, according to a statement released on the Ministry of Communication's website.
