Between Caricom and the government, confusion reigns over who was administratively responsible for reserving the space at the Apostolic Nunciature. "I was told that for the moment the space at the Apostolic Nunciature is not available. It was Caricom's responsibility to reserve the space because they were accustomed to organizing meetings in this space. However, logistically, Caricom had asked the government to assist in this regard," explained former Senator Sorel Jacinthe, spokesperson for the political organization INITE and signatory of the December 21st agreement in power.
"The Nuncio said that the space is not available, that's what was reported to me," said former Deputy Antoine Rodon Bien-Aimé, responsible for the political organization Compromis politique and signatory of the December 21st agreement in power. According to him, "it was the Haitian government's responsibility to plan the reservation of space at the Apostolic Nunciature."
