For the first time since their appointment, the nine members of the Transitional Presidential Council met with Caricom officials on Friday, March 22. During this virtual meeting, Caricom asked the Council members to agree among themselves on the basic operating principles of the Council.
It was also the first time that the nine members of the Presidential Council had met since their appointment. "During the meeting on Friday, March 22, we, the members of the Presidential Council, were not all in agreement on who has the right to vote within the Council. Should it be the seven regular members or all nine Council members? We requested a postponement of the meeting to discuss among ourselves," reported a member of the Presidential Council to Le Nouvelliste.
