Sunrise Airways will increase seating capacity on its Port-au-Prince/Cayes and Port-au-Prince/Cap-Haïtien flights. This announcement was made on Thursday, August 8, by Philippe Bayard, CEO of the airline, in an exclusive interview with Le Nouvelliste. “We have arranged to increase our offering on these two routes. We will add 150 seats per day on the Cap-Haïtien route and 90 seats per day on the Cayes route, three times a week,” Mr. Bayard explained.

This decision comes in the context of the Notre-Dame celebrations in these two major cities. Before this decision, Philippe Bayard emphasized that these are the two most important destinations for his company in terms of regional flights. “Initially, we started with 3 flights per week to Cayes. Today, we operate 5 flights per day, with 19 seats per flight. The same ratio applies to Cap-Haïtien. Additionally, after February 29, we launched a Cayes-Cap-Haïtien flight that is performing very well and is in high demand,” he added.
