Edgard Leblanc, President of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT), spoke out about the plight of Haitian migrants in the United States, who have been the targets of a stigmatization campaign orchestrated by Trump supporters. Leblanc emphasized the long-standing history between the two nations and the significant contributions of Haitians to American society.
"I want to extend my greetings to all Haitian compatriots around the world, who, while remaining deeply connected to their homeland, are forced to seek better opportunities abroad to make a living. Everyone recognizes that they are hard workers. I want to assure them, wherever they may be, that the Transitional Presidential Council and the government are thinking of them, as we work toward creating the conditions for their eventual return home," declared the CPT President, highlighting the efforts of Amnesty International and other organizations closely monitoring human rights violations against Haitian migrants globally.
