It has been a week since the change in leadership at the head of the Presidential Council. Edgard Leblanc has not participated in any meetings of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) since the end of his term. Leslie Voltaire is trying to find his footing. The new president of the CPT is holding meetings, expressing hopes, and waiting, like everyone else.
“Since Leslie Voltaire's installation as president of the CPT, we have been meeting almost daily. We have not yet had a Cabinet meeting because the Prime Minister is out of the country, but this week we had a working meeting with the acting Prime Minister, several ministers, and general directors regarding the mass deportation of our Haitian compatriots by the Dominican authorities,” a CPT member reported to Le Nouvelliste.
