The offensive by the Viv Ansanm gang coalition continues to wreak havoc in the West and Artibonite departments. Solino and Tabarre 27 remain under siege by criminals, while the towns of Arcahaie and L’Estère joined the list of affected areas on Monday.

Despite the Haitian National Police (PNH) announcing the recapture of Solino the day before, criminals attempted another incursion on Monday. According to multiple witnesses contacted by Le Nouvelliste, several houses were set on fire, and the relentless gunfire did not stop. Numerous videos circulated showing young gang members destroying everything in the neighborhood, which has resisted gang assaults for several months.
