Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé addressed journalists on Thursday, December 12, from his official residence, marking his first public speech since his appointment to lead the Primature. The head of government outlined his team’s priorities during this transitional period. According to him, the focus will be on restoring security, drafting a new constitution, and organizing elections.
At the beginning of the press briefing, Fils-Aimé expressed his sympathies to the victims of the Wharf Jérémie massacre and the Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite massacre. “I extend my condolences and those of the government to the grieving families. It is unacceptable that defenseless citizens are attacked by criminals,” he declared.
