Members of criminal groups carried out an incursion on Tuesday, March 4, in the Badio area, located within the commune of Kenscoff. After Badio, the assailants moved toward the "Kay Jacques" road, which leads to the Southeast department. Several individuals were kidnapped during the attack, according to Mayor Masillon Jean, who spoke with Le Nouvelliste.
Following alerts sent to the police, the mayor told the newspaper in the early afternoon that PNH agents had been deployed to the area to drive out the criminals. "They dug trenches to make the area inaccessible to police vehicles. We are awaiting equipment to repair the road. The criminals are still in Carrefour Badio," explained the mayor, urging Kenscoff residents to remain vigilant.
