A training program for Haitian special forces began at the Brazilian National Police Academy (ANP) on Friday, August 8, 2025. The course is being delivered by the Federal Police’s Tactical Operations Command (COT), according to a statement issued today by the Federal Police. Thirty Haitian police officers are participating in this first module.

“This initiative marks the first step in a broad cooperation program between Brazil and Haiti in the field of public security. The action stems from the commitment made by the Brazilian government in October 2022 to support the Caribbean nation in the delicate situation it is currently facing,” reads the Brazilian police website.
