The Industrial Development Company (CODEVI) announced the resumption of its activities on Wednesday, October 15, after two weeks of shutdown caused by worker protests. In a statement released on October 14, 2025, the company explained that the decision was made following the firm commitment of the Haitian government, local authorities, and civil society organizations that had been working to find a solution to the crisis. “Workers must report in uniform and with their ID card,” the statement read.
Earlier in the day, the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) had expressed “its full solidarity and unwavering support for one of its long-standing members: the Industrial Development Company (CODEVI).”
