Born in Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite under the name Piterson Desir and standing 1.84 meters tall, he grew up in Belgium after being adopted and discovered football at an early age through local clubs. His talent quickly attracted attention and led him to join several youth academies before taking a decisive step forward by joining RSC Anderlecht in 2013.
