The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) officially launched, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the National Training Program for Judicial Actors on the new Penal and Criminal Procedure Codes. This initiative is part of the preparations for the entry into force of these two texts, scheduled for January 1, 2027. The training of judicial actors aims to familiarize them with the new legal provisions and to strengthen their capacities in view of their application.

The launch ceremony took place at the Kayah-Belah Hotel in Les Cayes, in the presence of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Dr. Patrick Pélissier, as well as several officials involved in the implementation of the reform. This activity marks the beginning of a training process intended for the various participants in the criminal justice system, including judges, prosecutors, government commissioners, substitutes, lawyers, clerks, and investigating police officers.
