Tabou Combo, the Haitian music group that became the first to achieve international success beyond the Haitian diaspora and the Caribbean, is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. If you haven't yet attended a Tabou Combo concert and are in New York, the group will perform on May 13, 2023, at the Haitian Parade in Brooklyn on Nostrand Avenue, on May 18 at Times Square in Manhattan for the "Haitian in Times Square" event, and at Coney Island on May 28.

Tabou has achieved 55 years of success, creativity, and outstanding performances, and has represented Haitian music on the world's biggest stages for 55 years. After over five decades, the group remains solid and always ready to perform, touring major cities in America, France, and the Caribbean as part of its "Heritage Tour." After performing in Paris, Martinique, and Guadeloupe, the group is returning to New York for new dates. Yves Joseph, known as Fanfan Ti Bot, a musician and founding member of the legendary Tabou, discusses the anniversary celebrations.
