Established on May 18, 1918, Violette AC, the reigning national champion of professional Haitian football in 2021 and the victorious team of the Caribbean Club Championship in 2022, joyously celebrated its illustrious 105th year of existence on May 18, 2023.
The festivities commenced with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday morning, May 18, at St. Pierre Church in Pétion-Ville. A massive gathering, predominantly comprising the up-and-coming younger generation of Vieux-Tigre, including Coach Henry Philogène, Walter Joseph, Junior Eve, Andersuncha Beauvais, and nearly all former Violette AC players, graced the occasion. Leading the service, Father Guerlin Chancy promptly shed light on the prevalent sense of insecurity plaguing the lives of those residing under the Haitian sky, where fear hampers their ability to worship God, commemorate Haitian Flag Day, and most importantly, convey messages of peace and longevity to Violette AC on its 105th anniversary of foundation.
