Kettly Julien, a committed humanist, has spent over a quarter of a century advocating for human rights in Haiti. Passionate about her work, the former president of the Inter-Haitian Dialogue Committee has chosen to work with minors in conflict with the law, as well as men and women trapped in Haiti's prison system, which is on the verge of collapse.

She knows the plight of these vulnerable individuals all too well. Kettly Julien has seen, heard, and experienced it all in this small country. She dreamed of change, like many, but lately, she has come to terms with the idea that change won't come soon. She says, "My generation didn't see it. The current one won't either. My children's generation may not witness it either, given the direction we are headed," with a stark realism.
