The Haitian national soccer team, currently without a coach since the end of the contract between Gabriel Calderon Pellegrino and the FHF Normalisation Committee, has fallen down the FIFA world rankings. Unable to beat Cuba (0-0) and Suriname (1-1) in the Ligue A of nations, the Grenadiers, after having been beaten by the Reggae Boyz (2-2, 3-2), were logically relegated to Ligue B, after having taken second-to-last place in a group that was largely within their reach.

As a result of their poor performances, the Grenadiers, now 88th, dropped one place in the FIFA world rankings. In the CONCACAF zone, the Haitians are far behind the USA (11th), Mexico (12th), Canada (44th), Panama (45th), Costa Rica (46th), Jamaica (56th), El Salvador (76th) and Honduras (77th). At the same time, the Grenadiers are better off than Curacao (90th), Trinidad and Tobago (98th), Guatemala (103rd), Antigua and Barbuda (137th), Nicaragua (138th), Suriname (145th), Saint Kitts and Nevis (146th), the Dominican Republic (151st) and Cuba (169th).

The Haitian soccer team, which missed out on the chance to play in the Copa America 2024 and was unable to retain its place in the CONCACAF League A of Nations, is currently eliminated from all competitions pending the start of the CONCACAF zone FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

It should be noted that, if Carlo Marcelin's comments are to be believed, the national team should play a friendly against El Salvador before FIFA publishes its new rankings on November 30.

Argentina remains on top of the world

In the new FIFA world rankings, the top three remain unchanged. Argentina (1st) maintains its lead (+8.18 pts) over runner-up France (2nd). On the other hand, the gap is widening (+40.91 points) between Les Bleus and their direct pursuers, Brazil (3rd). Held to a 1-1 draw by Venezuela and beaten 2-0 by Uruguay, the Seleção have England (4th) in their rear-view mirror.

Belgium (5th) maintain their position, while Portugal (6th, +2) come back and knock on the door of the Top 5. Like its Iberian neighbor, Spain (8th, +2) is progressing and is now hot on the heels of the Netherlands (7th). Next in line are Italy (9th) and Croatia (10th, -4), which has fallen but maintained its place in the Top 10.
