This new scholarship fund, providing approximately $3,000 per year per student at a rate of $250 per month, will cover full tuition costs at the university. Students are responsible for their own housing and food expenses, the administrators clarified, adding that contributions to the scholarship fund are directly allocated to the education of young people in Haiti.

Through this program, UNIF aims to award 200 scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year to qualified students facing financial difficulties. In return, graduates who have benefited from the program will contribute 10% of their income once their businesses are successful or they are employed, according to the administrators. This contribution will help sustain future scholarships and ensure the program’s long-term continuity.
