The monetary policy report from the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) for the third quarter of the 2023/2024 fiscal year highlighted improved fiscal performance during this period. "In terms of public finances, budget execution for the period from April to June 2024 shows better tax revenue performance, the result of lingering effects from fiscal measures implemented during the previous fiscal year and a modest economic recovery, especially in December 2023 and the quarter under review," states the BRH monetary policy note.

"Thus, the revenues collected by the Haitian government, which represent nearly 42% of total resources (98,436.15 million gourdes), reached 41,225.22 million gourdes during the third quarter of 2024. This 20.81% quarterly increase was driven by a rise in customs revenues (6.14%) and domestic revenues (29.76%). Additionally, cumulative revenues for the entire fiscal year totaled 124.93 billion gourdes by June 2024, achieving approximately 65% of the initial projections for the fiscal year," according to the BRH.
