The Haitian government, supported by international partners including the IDB, the World Bank, and the European Union, has taken the lead in assessing the impact of the multifaceted crisis Haiti has been facing since 2021. This assessment aims to develop a well-coordinated investment plan, both internally and externally.

“We insisted that the Haitian government take the lead in this process. When we arrived, we found an agreement to conduct this evaluation. We defined the terms to ensure full government participation. We are conducting an analysis that will lead to an investment plan. This work was done with international partners, and we made sure there were no biased figures so that, at the donors' table, it is clear that this is an objective evaluation,” explained Minister of Economy and Finance, Ketleen Florestal, during her speech at a conference on Haiti's development at the IDB on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
