Three years after its relocation to Bicentenaire, where it occupied the building of the Special Labor Court, the Port-au-Prince courthouse is set to move to a more attractive space at Champ de Mars. The Le Plaza Hotel will soon house the courthouse, which will accommodate the Port-au-Prince First Instance Court and its prosecutor's office, the Court of Appeals, the Criminal Reform Commission, and the National Legal Assistance Council (CNAL).

“The relocation of the Port-au-Prince courthouse to the premises of the Le Plaza Hotel is simply a matter of formalities,” stated Justice and Public Security Minister Carlos Hercule during the ceremony marking the resumption of judicial activities at the Court of Cassation on Monday, October 7.
