The Secretary-General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, reiterated the importance of transparency and adherence to the April 3 agreement and the Haitian Constitution in a statement posted on X following a phone conversation with Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

"It is also essential to remind the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) of its commitment to transparency and respect for the April 3 agreement, as well as the Haitian Constitution," Mr. Almagro stated. He encouraged "Haitian actors to rise above their individual interests in favor of the greater good of the Haitian people."
